Bentonite Barrier Balm was initially created as a baby specific product (Baby Bentonite Balm). When we started receiving feedback from mamas raving about what a great general hand cream it was we realised that we needed to rename it. The Bentonite Barrier Balm was born!
A gentle healing barrier cream, especially good for dry hands and skin, chaffing, and baby's nappy area. Organic bentonite clay is extremely healing for skin, while natural butters and oils heal and protect.

For Baby: A baby's skin is five times thinner than that of an adult and is exceptionally sensitive. As such, it's important to be selecting products for our babies that are as gentle and natural as possible. When the skin is irritated like with nappy rash, it's even more important to be using products that can calm and repair the skin's natural barrier.
For all ages: A gentle yet effective barrier cream, especially useful for dry hands and repeated hand washing/ sanitising. A good option for under protective gloves. Excellent for the prevention of chaffing.

- Organic Calendula & Chamomile both have proven wound healing, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and skin restoring properties - perfect for a nappy rash cream.
- Bentonite Clay has long been prized for its healing properties, and studies are now confirming the wisdom of its use for baby bottoms, and other concerns. According to this study, babies whose diaper rash was treated with bentonite clay improved seven times faster within six hours of application. In addition, “complete healing in the first 3 days was more than five times in the bentonite clay group.”
- Coconut oil has antimicrobial, anti-viral, anti-bacterial and antifungal properties which help the skin to heal. It contains lauric acid (also found in breast milk) which acts on bacterial and fungal infections. Another added bonus is that coconut oil will not ruin cloth nappies, unlike some other nappy rash treatments.
- Shea Butter locks in moisture and keeps out wetness. It nourishes and protects delicate skin, is an emollient which means it has smoothing and softening qualities ideal for the skin. It is effective in treating and preventing diaper rash, plus relieves redness brought by diaper rash and irritationIt moisturizes, therefore preventing and treating flaking and chafing.
Apply with each nappy change.
