Wet Ingredients
2 tablespoons coconut oil
3 teaspoons water
8 drops of lavender essential oil (You can use any essential oil - we use lavender for it's calming and soothing qualitites)
5 drops of natural food colouring
Equipment & decorations
Muffin or mini loaf tray (any mould will do) You can hand build a ball shape rather than using a mould, but be sure to firmly compress each bomb.
Olive oil to grease the moulds
Lavender flowers and leaves (dry or fresh)
Directions:
1. Grease each mould with olive oil
2. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl
3. Mix all the wet ingredients in a separate bowl
4. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry while vigorously stirring. (It may start to fizz, so stir quickly!)
5. Fill each muffin mould with the mixture to halfway, pressing in firmly. (The mixture will expand.)
6. Leave out at room temperature for 3-4 hours or until dry and hard to the touch. You may need to leave them out for longer if they are large.
7. Remove the bombs carefully and let the underside air-dry.
9. Add to the bath for a fizzy and fun bathtime!
Store in an airtight container. You can get creative by adding lavender flowers into your mixture, or pressing on top of each bomb before they dry.
